Shawn Thompson

I started riding at 2 1/2 with training wheels. Dad got me started riding with him in the woods and on the track. I am very competitive and love to ride as hard as my bike will go. My rivals are anybody I line up with but off the track I like to play with everyone in the dirt making our own little tracks. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

My rides are an 04 cm jr cobra, 06 cm jr cobra, electric razor chopper and a Pastrona bike.

My goal is to win Las Vegas world arenacross finals in October, go to Lorretta Lynns, and finish as the champion at my local track. I would like to get a factory ride from Cobra for my senior year.

My achievements;

- 2006: 50 inj. 3rd overall sx

- 2007: 2nd inj., 3rd 50 jr and Harescramble Champion Fox Valley Off-road Series.

- 2008:

-- 2nd, Toyota Arenacross north region (missed 2 races won 3 in a row MI, WI,

IL and finished 2nd in IA). Qualified for World Finals in Las Vegas in Oct.

-- 50 jr Season champion at Waterman International Raceway.

My coach and training is all done by my dad .... and it works! I don't play sports because I love to ride and practice. I would like to thank barefoot racing, two2cool, scott, fly, cobra, power trip drink, and most of all my mechanic, my money sponsor, my driver, teacher, trainer, and the best person in the world MY DADDY!!
